INTRODUCTION                                                                                                                         <\/strong>It is a matter of great satisfaction that we have completed the recitation and study of Srimad Bhagavadgita, containing 700 slokas spread over 18 Chapters, made possible through video-streaming under the caption ‘A Sloka A Day’. We have thus performed a Yagna, which Lord Krishna Himself calls it Gnana Yagna:adhy\u0113\u1e63yat\u0113 ca ya ima\u1e41 dharmya\u1e41 sa\u1e41v\u0101dam\u0101vay\u014d\u1e25 |                                                    j\u00f1\u0101nayaj\u00f1\u0113na t\u0113n\u0101hami\u1e63\u1e6da\u1e25 sy\u0101miti m\u0113 mati\u1e25 || 18.70 ||                                          Arjuna, Whoever studies and understands this Dharmic conversation between you and Me will be considered to have offered Me Gnana Yagna \u2014 This is My View.                                                                             There are four kinds of Yagnas:                                                                                                   Vidhi Yagna, the performance of a ritual as ordained by the Vedas;                             Japa Yagna, the chanting of mantras, making them audible;                                                        Upamsu Yagna, the chanting of mantras within one’s own hearing; and Gnana Yagna, acquiring Gnana by employing mental faculties. Gnana Yagna is the best among the four.   Bhagavadgita is famously referred to as Brahma Vidya. We have acquired some Gnana through adhyayana or study. The purpose of acquiring this Gnana is to attain Siddhi, the Supreme State of Liberation. That is the Gneyam. his involves Saadhana or Upasana.. Bhagavadgita is also known as Yoga Shastra. Krishna specifies four different kinds of Yogic practices by way of Saadhana to attain Siddhi or Perfection.                                                             They are: Gnana Yoga helps to access and acquire Gnana, the Knowledge of Brahman and also Gneya, the Object of Knowledge, through Adhyayana or study, leading to Realisation.  Karma Yoga requires one to perform scripturally ordained actions without attachment to the fruits of actions and in a state of detachment, there by reaching Siddhi through Saatvic Thyaga. Dhyana Yoga lays emphasis on practicing concentration and meditation to attain the state of Samadhi. Bhakti Yoga is the most favoured practice involving intense love and devotion to the Saguna Aspect of Brahman or to the Nirguna Aspect of Brahman. Though these four Practices appear to be different tracks on the Saadhana Maarga, each individually capable of helping to attain Siddhi, it is desirable to make an integrative approach and start practicing ALI of them one by one. Moreover, Bhagavadgita is reputed to be an Upanishat An Upanishat is a sacred scriptural text in which the Acharya or Teacher engages with the Shishya in the form of giving Aadesha and Upadesa or instruction and advice. In the Bhagavadgita, Krishna is the Gitacharya. He is also a loving and caring well-wisher of Arjuna. He advises Arjuna, and through him advises us, on several issues. At the end, the Gitacharya sums up the essence of his upadesha in the following shloka<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arjuna, Set your mind on Me; be My Devotee; offer your worship to Me; and prostrate yourself before Me. It is a sensibility that gets expressed in nine different ways, known as Navavidha Bhakti \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the Bhagavata Purana, we hear Prahlada saying:\u00a0Sravanam keertanam VishnoH smaranam paadasevanam archanam vandanam daasyam sakhyam aatmanivedanam<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SHRAVANAM:<\/td>listening to His Glories;<\/td><\/tr>
KEERTANAM:<\/td>singing His praises;<\/td><\/tr>
SMARANAM:<\/td>recollecting His Glories and Praises;<\/td><\/tr>
PAADASEVANAM\u2022<\/td>offering service at His feet;<\/td><\/tr>
ARCHANAM:<\/td>doing ritualistic worship;<\/td><\/tr>
VANDANAM:<\/td>prostrating oneself before Him<\/td><\/tr>
DAASYAM:<\/td>expressing service-mindedness;<\/td><\/tr>
SAKHYAM:<\/td>cultivating respectful friendliness;<\/td><\/tr>
AATMA NIVEDANAM\u2022<\/td>surrendering one’s self to Him completely.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This Saadhana Maarga, as suggested by Krishna in his advice, should form into an integral approach inclusive of the other three practices of Adhyayana, Anushthana and Dhyana. Surely, then it becomes foremost among all the spiritual practices that are directed towards attaining Mukti or Liberation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All these days we have been progressing on the track of Gnana Yoga. We have a fairly clear idea of what Brahma Gnana is and also what its Gneya or Goal is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next it is proposed to open up the other three tracks on the Saadhana Maarga, with the following nomenclature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the help of some select Stotras, we wish to facilitate Shravanam, Mananam, Dhyanam and Samkeertanam<\/p>\n\n\n\n
